Beyond assessments, March Ahead provides a range of additional services designed to meet the needs of veterans in diverse settings. These services extend our commitment to clinical excellence while offering flexible and accessible options.
Outreach Services
Our clinicians are available for outreach work, enabling assessments and programs to be delivered in community settings or veteran-focused organisations. This ensures that high-quality evaluations are not limited by geography. If you are a rural clinician, practice, or Ex-Service Organisation (ESO) and would like to collaborate with March Ahead in establishing a rural outreach service, we welcome you to reach out to us. We are committed to building partnerships that improve access to independent, specialist mental health services for veterans across Australia.
Educational Programs
March Ahead clinicians conduct structured educational sessions for professionals and veteran groups. Topics include contemporary psychiatric understanding of trauma, brain injury, and mental health conditions relevant to military service.
Guidance and Peer Programs
In addition to clinical expertise, our team includes an experienced veteran coach who provides practical guidance informed by lived experience. This role complements our clinical services by offering veterans an informed perspective on adjustment, resilience, and navigating transition after service.
At March Ahead, we understand the immense psychological toll faced by police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency service personnel. These frontline heroes often operate in high-stress, high-risk environments that can result in long-term mental health impacts such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and burnout. Our specialised psychiatric assessment and care pathways are designed to support the unique needs of first responders — whether for medico-legal purposes, treatment planning, or long-term therapeutic care.
We work with legal firms, WorkSafe/WorkCover bodies, emergency service employers, insurance providers, and advocates to ensure ethical, compliant, and trauma-informed care for emergency service workers. All services are delivered by AHPRA-registered psychiatrists with experience in trauma, occupational stress, and medico-legal work.
